Many of the viewers are already familiar with the character thanks to the success in recent years of the short films based on him. “Tadeo Jones” and “Tadeo Jones y el Sótano Maldito” (“Tadeo Jones and the Basement of Doom”) rose to fame with the Goya Awards for Best Short Animation in 2006 and 2008 respectively, and the “Tadeo Jones y el Secreto de Toactlum” (“Tadeo Jones and the Secret of Toactlum”) and “Tadeo Jones en el rally París-Paká” (“Tadeo Jones in the Paris-Paka rally”) comics were bestsellers.
